Nestled in the rural Eden Valley, a warm welcome awaits you at Goodlie Hill, nestled on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks.

 

The Goodlie Hut Company is a family business, run by Joe and Becca, and with the support of Curtis and Hector, the spaniels.  The opportunity to move to the area came in 2019, when an unexpected house viewing led them to the hill.  It was love at first sight, and soon they'd moved their lives from the hustle-and-bustle of Leicestershire and up to Cumbria for a slower, but more active pace of life with fresh adventures and trails to explore from their doorstep!

With an appreciation how special it is to live in such a beautiful part of the world (and a complete lack of awareness of just how much of a challenge it would be), they decided to create and build a luxury hand-crafted retreat in the Cumbrian countryside - a place to find a new adventure and re-connect with the nature around you or to switch off and unwind in quiet solitude.  It's been quite the journey getting the hut built, but they are now delighted to be able to share their beautiful space with guests.

Six years of exploring their local area through hiking, running and cycling has given them a great understanding of just how special the place is - if you love the outdoors (and won't melt in of a bit of wet weather), your options really are endless.
